where can i find books on wood lathe opertion

I'm pretty fond of one called "The Lathe Book" (Taunton Press), written by Ernie Conover. It is a good, general overview of lathe work.

If you are mostly interested in just bowl work, or just spindles, there are probably better books on those specialties.
