Wink

I just purchased the JP061 Jointer from HD. I have used it several times without any problems until yesterday. It began making a howling noise. It does not seem to effect the operation but is annoying. Can anyone suggest what is wrong. Let me also add that it will stop for about a minute but starts up again.

Its most likely the belt slipping. Check the tension on the drive belt.
