I looked over the 3612 at HD this last weekend and scanned the Owner's Manual. I'm a little disappointed that Ridgid just updated the contractor style rather than adding a new model. I would think that a hybrid style competitive to the Dewalt and Jet models would have gone better with the new rails. I'm not privy to the sales demographics of the saws, but it seems to me that most of these contractor saws are sold for home/small shop use versus work site. It appears to me that most work site requirements could be met with the 2400. Are there any plans in the future to add different saw types?
