I would like to see an 8" jointer for under $700.00.

heck I have a lot of wood that is 8" wide and that needs to be flaten. I don't think that the 6"jointer would work well.

Grizzly has made an outstanding 8" jointer for several years cost $695 + $75 shipping. They have both lever & hand whell style.
