Why does ridgid not make circular saws and other types of power tools. If they did I believe they
would sell plenty of them.

I too have wondered this. Seems like they would put out a quality hand power tool. the only thing i can think of is that in order to build them to ridgid standards they would not be able to remain competitive because of cost? just a thought

We are not planning to enter the portable power tool market at this time. Our core competency is stationary and bench power tools, which is what we are focused on.

I'm guessing that since the new arrival of the brand new line of power tools from Ridgid (including the Circ Saw) you gentlemen haven't re-posted replies giving your reviews of the new gear since I would have thought that you would have purchased them by now. I myself haven't bought any of them as of yet but I'm waiting for the funds so I can run out and get them right away, then I will post my review and opinions of the power tools that I buy.
