  • Charlie Greer....sales technique

Just read this article and couldn't believe how underhand this technique made me feel. Any thoughts? http://contractingbusiness.com/tec-d...osing-attempts
    Buy cheap, buy twice.

It reads pushy and unethical to me. I wouldn't use someone doing this towards me and wouldn't recommend them to anyone if I experienced it.

I would never treat any of my customers that way, nor would I tolerate being treated that way. (Just like Bob)

that's a boilerplate franchise technique. it's unethical and gives a bad name. what they forget is that for big sales where a contract is involved the customer has a 3 day right to reject the contract.

i dont treat my customers like that. ever.

I know this an old thread but this reminds me of Rooter Hero company. I have a brother that used to work for them and he would tell me story's of their sales tactics , which made me cringe.

Why would anyone treat a customer like that? I understand being a natural sales man, but the line about unpacking things which require 10-20 minutes to pack up, reeks of a lack of ethics. Some people eh.

If you are talking about Post #6 from 8/04/17 I see the signature line if I am logged in or out. Checked in two different browsers. It's been there for 6 months.

Yes I'm referring to post #6. I rarely come to this section of the forum but I noticed Rick's post. You are correct it has been here for 6 months but the sig line is only visible to me if I'm logged out - a link to a plumbing business in the UK - it says Plumber Bristol. This is on Google Chrome. Not checked any other browser. I have seen it happen sometimes with others spammers as well. Not sure if it related to the sig line only. Looks like a compatibility issue with the forum software and browser.

blue_can, check your settings maybe you have show signature lines disabled in your user profile. That would hide sig lines when logged in but they would be visible when logged out.

Wow. Old company of mine put us through the tech daddy series.

But I don't remember them being like this. Maybe this advice is when he was on meth or something.

The part about pulling things apart, that's kinda a good idea. It's dirty. But that other stuff is, just out of line. I don't remember any of his advice that shady.
