  • android device not picking up forum links

My android phone android 4.0.4 and samsung tablet 4.1.1 both running android don't allow me to even see the posted youtube links.

So for example, the ridgid youtube threads/ post, don't show any links to the video.

Do I need an app installed, like a flash player, or is it a setting on both phone and tablet?

This is more frustrating than plumbing.

    Rick.

Well, on my Commando phone, Android version 2.3.3, I loaded up Dolphin Browser and went to the post about the Bullet Mole where you said you couldn't see the video. I couldn't see much on my tiny screen but the link for the video showed as a blank box with a little green arrow. The browser doesn't load large objects without a user OK. I pushed the little arrow and it loaded fine for me. I believe I had to download and install Adobe Flash Player 11.1 for everything to work. You can probably find Flash Player in the Google Play Store.

Same here Rick. Android not showing any links in the posts. This started about a week or more ago. No box, nothing.

It may not be just Android devices. I don't see the link in Chrome on my desktop, but they show up just fine in Firefox.

I'm with Mark, they are not showing up on Chrome.

On my computer, in chrome, a shield appears on the right side of the tool bar. I have to click it to allow the program to run. Then I can see the videos.

Thought I'd repost this thread and see if anyone found a fix.

Read that my samsung does not support "flash".

                  Is that the issue?

Remember that Chrome is brought to you by the same people as Andriod OS, so the native browser in Android is probably Chrome or some variant of it.

Although you are correct, the built in browser does work with flash, the mobile chrome doesn't. Although its not supported anymore, you can find and install flash on a unit running ICS or JB, but again I've only got flash to work on the stock loaded browser, not chrome.

Rick, did that fix it in Chrome or just the OEM browser? I installed 11.1 a while ago, and although it works great in the regular Android browser, it doesnt work in Chrome for me on my Razr Maxx with Jelly Bean.
