Just heard good news for those of us out there that have been waiting forever for a radio from Ridgid. The news is that they will be out in the stores sometime in the 4th quarter of this year....so definitely by Christmas. Its about time. I hear that it is about the same size as the others with a nice heavy duty frame around it. Features a aux port for your ipod, psp, whatever. AM/FM radio and from what I also hear a built-in charger. Bring it Ridgid...we're waiting.

            Re: Ridgid Radio

This is actually for real. I have spoken to a rep who has actually seen the prototype. The whole reason for the delays had to do with the patents...which Dewalt had control of for the charger part. These patents will have expired come the time Ridgid rolls out the radio. There was also a problem with one of the patents that Ridgid had applied for that had to be rewritten. Don't want to get everyone's hopes up....just remember this post when the radio does actually come out...and I will post something to the effect of .... I TOLD YOU SO....

I probably have a better chance of saying TOLD YA SO than you do with the radio.

The SKU is in the HD computer system already, it just is inactive right now. Had a price in Canada for 129.99

It all sounds good, or bad, depending on who's listening.

You've got a SKU number for the Ridgid radio??? Please....do share. I'd like to confirm things with my local rep.

Also, does anyone have any idea regarding the built in charger for this? Will it be for just the 9.6 to 18 volt NiCads, or will it also work with the 18 and 24 volt Lithium Ion batteries??

Josh - any info on this?!?!?!
