Got an idea... how about a level that will compensate for run-off. I'm a blacksmith, and when building custom railings on older houses, I need to compensate for settling, particularly exterior balconies. Having a level that would calculate a set length of the hypoteneuse and leg (Pythagorean Theorem) would help me keep my verticles just that...verticle.
example: it would allow me to adjust leg length on opposite ends to ensure that the cap rail is level, because I don't always want it to follow the run-off.
It would need to be digital, so I could just plug in a distance and get the leg and /or hypoteneuse length.
I can't be the first person to think of this... does it already exist? If so, who makes it and where can I get one?
