had a 9" after market band saw years back. it finally took a dump and have been looking for one for years. came across this Ridgid BS14002 on craigslist, it was at a pawn shop. said it was quite and smooth. well that it is. $150.00 total and it came home with me. had no idea it weighted so much, i think around 200 pounds.fantastic condition and with a few adjustments its smooth as silk, and quite. mounted it on some castors so i can move it around. i think with band saws you either get one thats smooth or one that vibrates.

Congratulations, you're one of the lucky ones.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the "John" and renamed it the "Jim". I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

I also got a great saw, no vibrations, runs smooth. I also put mine on a mobile base. You should be very pleased when using your new saw.
