  • Ridgid Computer Accessory

I wanted to scan something onto my computer in order to print it out, but the 12 volt transformer that powers my HP scanner was dead. I checked as close to the transformer as I could and no voltage at all. So I thought could the nicad battery from my Ridgid right angle impact driver power the scanner long enough to get'er done? Yep, it did. Thanks Ridgid.

      Good thinking.
I had a similar situation with a car stereo head I bought at a police auction, it was locked so I needed to get a remote with alpha characters to enter the master unlock code. I was not interested in a $100 remote so I brought the head into the store hooked it to my 14.4 Ridgid battery and borrowed the display remote.

Wayne, you got me beat with that one. All I did was a simple temporary power supply, but your good thinking sounds a lot more involved. I'm laughing as I picture in my mind a bunch of us guys carrying Ridgid batteries to power all sorts of odd things.
