  • Best way to secure Carpet treads

Just currious if anyone has any good ideas for carpet treads. I have nice hardwood stairs and dont want to destroy them for when we take the carpet treads up eventually. I was told gorilla glue would work well but i figured i should ask here before i did anything. thanks in advance for your help.

Have you considered using a nice stair runner instead? I love the look of a nice runner with pretty rods holding it down.

Sorry, I'm no help as to the glue. I would assume that if you want to preserve the look that staples or small nails would be better because you can simply refill the holes later on. But I'm not a carpenter!

Gorilla Glue , thats for wood on wood.

Adhesive, for that particular project, maybe.

A nice rod holding it in place, there you go, with a few staples on each tread and riser. At least the staples will leave very small holes.

A good climbing rope will last you 3 to 5 years, a bad climbing rope will last you a life time !!!
