My POP Thread got me looking at things I remember as a kid. The invention and growth of the Internet and computers has resurrected so many memories. Anyways here are some links to the opening days of Disneyland over 50-years ago. The links are part 1 through 8 of opening day (90 mins total).

I would have thought the letter tickets were long gone by the time you had a memory of anything.

I know you have a passion for Disney as does Brenda and all of our kids. We all have season passes to Disneyland and have at times had season passes to DisneyWorld as well. With DisneyWorld I take the family there in November (8-bedroom house of horror) of one year and buy a season pass so I can come back the following October to do it all over again. One of my buddies was the Mechanical Engineer who designed much of Epcot so I enjoy critiquing his work. Brenda and the girls have also done Euro Disney but I had to fly home early.

My brother and sister-in-law had planned a honeymoon in Europe (in '91), but were contacted and told that it was advised that they cancel for safety reasons.

So they booked their new, non-refundable, honeymoon at Disney World. Shortly before the wedding they were contacted and told that it was ok to go on the European honeymoon.

So my mom and I took their Disney World tickets, transferred the flight to our names and had a vacation
