    How about cutting down on totally worthless posts, worthless over use of quotes and worthless features? That should cut back on the server(s) overloading problems for now. I bet in time you will be in need of a new monster server bank.

      to quote some one is not to bad as long as you can cut it down to just the point you to show if you are not the next one posting

        There is a post that I can speak as an expert on, yeah! (I actually wrote web community software at a previous job; and currently I research server performance for network servers.)

        From a netiquette perspective, cutting down on quoting makes sense. From a technical perspective, the quoting is going to introduce very little server overhead. There is some server load associated with the size of a post, but if it is text only the number of posts will have a much greater effect on server performance. For images, the size (in KB) does begin to make a difference.
