Re: the best food your other half makes?

I'm very lucky that I have a wife that not only cooks very well she is also a great baker. I don't know if there is one great dish or not because I have never had anything she made that I didn't think was great.

Me I guess would be baked chicken with creamy sauce over rice.

It'd be a toss-up between lemon-pepper chicken & pastrami reubens. If only I could get them at the same time...

Chicken and rice (I would almost call it a tomato based chicken/mushroom Rizotto (sp?)) Chicken/cream cheese/green onion crescent rolls. Aside from those I am the better cook.

          My signature dishes:

Pizza from scratch dough and all(my mom's basic by feel recipe)
sourdough bread(wild yeast starter cultivated myself)
cornbread squares(cornbread with a beef/cheese & or veggy/bean mixture in the middle of the pan. Usually served with salad & salsa on top.
Pasty pie-Well, I have a a hard time calling this one my signature as my Granny makes it best, closely followed by my Mom, but for my immediate family I think it belongs on the list...(savory pie crust layer of turnips, an inch or 2 of sliced potatoes&onions, layer of steak cut into 1/2" cubes, fresh parsly, salted, and peppered of course, and topped off with a savory crust.(so good, even though my pie crust dough needs work)

Then there is always the BBQ...especially with the weather we've been having lately.

          Greg...now I'm hungry.

She makes many things I like but our first couple years of marriage I almost died.

I called her my "Macaroni Queen".

She makes cinnamon rolls that are outta this world.

If you ask her...nothing, but my waist line is begining to tell a different story
I really like her Japanese beef curry. Don't dig Indian curry as much.
