Is there a scroll bar on the bottom of the page? Check very near the bottom of the page you're viewing and see if there's a little bar you can move to the right that will let you see the rest of the page. If that's the case, then your screen resolution won't let you see the whole page. Right-click on an empty space on your screen and select Properties. Go to the Settings tab (the last tab on the Display Properties box). In the middle of this box, under where it says Display, there will be a Screen resolution settings box. Set this to a higher resolution. You are probably set to something like 640x480 pixels. If you set that to a higher number set, you'll get more desktop "real estate" but all the icons will be smaller. As an example, I've got mine set to 1280x1024 on my 19" monitors. Generally, the resolution (or pixel count) won't cause problems with your monitor. It's a setting to make things larger or smaller, and is settable to allow you to balance what you can see with a resolution that allows you to see it.
Just as a warning, if you go to the Advanced button there, you have a lot more options to change things (the Advanced box will differ depending on what type of video controller you have), and some of those can cause problems. If, for instance, you selected Advanced and changed the Screen refresh rate, you could cause your monitor to fail prematurely. Setting a higher refresh rate than your monitor can support will cause it to overwork the internal electronics, and could cause the monitor to flash or blink or pulse. I always tell people to research their monitor and set the refresh rate to what the monitor manufacturer suggests for that model.
I put it all back together better than before. There\'s lots of leftover parts.
