    Re: Roundup Highlight Video

I think Ridgid better build their own Hotel for us next year, I'll probably be driving down there. Then take the bus around town with the Ridgid gang. I'm sure I'll be there, 99.9% sure.

funny part is i was the one that had the most to lose as i was the one that promoted the roundup and put out the challenge.

look at all the crap i took over the k-60 and 7500 cable tossing and arm wrestling ben

the best excuse i heard was that i had more years of experience

ya, but i also had much younger guys chasing me too.

just be glad it was on 1 thread on 1'' pipe. originally i suggested 2 threads on 2'' pipe. but the smaller guys would not have had enough push.

honestly i felt the threading competition was the highlight. it was a race using all you had. it was also the last event and i was the last one to do it.
oil was all over the blacktop, and peoples shirts.

and on spectators that were too close when aaron was competing

the 1500 board buster was also a great event. bill/ crack pulled it off also as the last competitor of that event and on his 2nd. try. this was not a brute force event, but more of a technique/ skill event. proper pressure and feed was important.

others were fun, but these 2 were spectators events.

i'm thinking up some new events for next time. there are many events that are not practical based on time and cost to construct.

the board buster was $45. a cutter and they used plenty.

copper maze had plenty of scrap generated$$.

ridgid spent money like it was water.

everything was beyond belief. truly it took dozens of ridgid employees hundreds of hours to pull off this event. not to mention the hundreds of employees that came to play and participate.

thanks to all that made it possible for us to have fun

I doubt they would do the same events. Some people would practice ahead of time to beat existing times. I'm not pointing fingers or anything but I may just be looking at one of those people right now

there was not 1 event i practiced. but now with bragging rights on the line and i'm the target, i might fine tune some events.

1500 requires a special jig to operate.

i guess i'll have to make that jig

and next time you sit on cold porcelain, i'm out practicing the toilet seat horseshoes

and when your tires are missing. i'm practicing the lag bolt contest

no need to practice the copper maze, as i was amazing

It's been over 6 weeks just wondering what happened to the full lenth version of the video

Lots of good stuff in there I'm sure

Did it come out already and I missed it?

Should I have sent some money in?

I hope my interview ends up on the editing floor. My mind went blank when she shoved the microphone in my face

                            rick.

after a formal protest was filed over the board buster. it was determined that the board needed to be drilled and not split.

crack, please mail your trophy to me

All he had to do was bust through the board. He was smart enough to get a little help from a friend when picking out his piece
