  • Question re: 12" sliding compound miter saw w/ exactline laser

We are completing our deck and the last few cuts have been bad because the blade guard is not "self lifting" as it is suppose to. Has anyone had difficulties with the guard?

Also the manual doesn't mention how to adjust this guard. (basically the manual doesn't even mention anything about maintenance on the guard). We are now noticing "drag or groove" marks made from the guard on the throat plate

    Please help with suggestions!

Sometimes my screws holding the guard will come a little bit lose. I just retighten them and it will work like a champ again. Check em out, this could be the problem....
