  • HELP: WD16300 Shop Vac Filter Solution??

Hello, I have been searching everywhere for a resolution to this issue. I have a WD16300 Rigid wet/dry vac and require a replacement filter. I picked up one at Home Depot, but it seems to be an 1" longer than the old filter and does not securely fit around the chamber. I am attempting to pick up sawdust and drywall dust and without a tight fit on the filter it is just blowing dust back into the room...

PLEASE Help! Anyone else seen this issue?

Some time ago there was a change of filters. The reason is beyond me to figure out. Anyway, try taking the old filter that does fit with you to SEARS as Craftsman (many models) are very similar. Their (SEARS) filter stock is normally much better than at Home Depot.

Call the Ridgid support number and tell them you need a new filter plate so you can use the newer/taller filters in your older vacuum.
