  • i forgot my tools outside lastnight

so i grabbed my tool bag and shake the snow off.

i bring it inside and open it up to get a tool.

this what i see. packed more than packed.

    those tools are -35 C (-31F). -49 C (56.2 F) with the wind

the snow is finer than fine up here.

    i like it.

        what's a microwave?

        Vince

my aunt had the first microwave in coral harbour, southhampton island back in '72 or '73 i believe. she put it on top of the fridge so everybody could see it when they visited. i think some of us stood too close to the early model microwave ovens

my bag split open. next time, duct tape.

when i lived in yellowknife, northwest territories i went to this bar to play some stick.

this guy with a rod stewart hair cut (pre mullet) walks up to me and asks me if i know where to get some snow.

            i said, "yeah, right outside"

              LOL!

He probably went outside thinking there was some "other" than the stuff on the ground.

he figured out real quick that i didn't have a clue as to what he was talking about and just as quickly parted company.

i was doing some pipe freezing years ago with liquid co2/ -109f.

whe i finished i wanted to cool down my soda pop can. i laid it on the freeze bag for 30 seconds and it was frozen solid

don't know how you guys work with your hands and thick gloves. i don't wear gloves when i'm soldering.

                    rick.

rick, sometimes you gotta take the glove off (no punn intended).

freezing is not the problem, anybody (moron, punn intended) can freeze their digits.

it's when they thaw out. it feels like you just got all your fingers smashed with a hammer at the same time.

                      and that's before morning coffee.
