  • Oh Crap!!

    see the dog behind the dog that's barking?

    what do you suppose he's thinking?

    what are you doing!!!???

    shut up!!!???

    Vince

    seriously, dogs react 1 of 3 ways;

    1) they want to fight the bear

    2) they run and hide

    3) they want to play with the cute polor bear

    The dog behind is starting to back up, then his paws will go up and he'll be like "Ah-ight, Ima gonna go now, ah heh, heh, you guys work it on out, I'll see y'all later...."

    And yes, he's talking the groove even though he's a sled dog.

    Don't think, just go with it...........
    I'm on "The List" and I love it!!

          oh crap!!!

          Oh Crap!!!!

          that bear looks to be only about 3 or 4 years old.

          had it been an adult, it would have jumped over the truck.

          that guy should consider himself very lucky this bear lacked hunting skills.

          the worse thing anybody can do is run away from a preditory animal. the chase down and kill part of their brain kicks in automatically. then they go for the back of the neck. believe it or not but you have a better chance of not getting attacked by squaring up with it.

          up here, if a loose sleddog is approaching us, we just pretend to pick up a rock, even in the middle of winter and there's no rocks or stones around. the dog stops instantly.

          then we pretend to throw the rock. the dog high-tails it.

            That reminds me of two kids on each side of the table moving back and forth trying to get each other. Not that kids will bite each others head off.

                Scary stuff, don't think I would live and travel in such an environment with a loaded gun ready to go! Around here there are loose dogs but I'm more concerned about the two legged animals, never go out without one or two good folding knives always sharp. I don't walk out of the house or my car with my head in the clouds, life is precious you have to be alert! Remember you don't have to be faster than the polar bear or vicious dog, you just have to be faster than your companion.

                  those are huskies. wolves can run 40 - 60mph for an hour. they can easily out run a bear.

                  to find these pics, all i did was google "polor bear pics", or i like right now i just googled "buick grand national pics. this is what i got;

                  same as all the other pics i've got. i really like this internet thing.

                    yes. this is why you always have a running race when picking potential hunting partners.

                    i learnt in churchill, manitoba (polor bear capitol of the world) very quickly that one must always be aware of one's surroundings.

                    if your being chased, drop articles of clothing. this might give you enough time to seek refuge. although, up here the lack of foliage only prolongs the inevitable.
