  • Hot dogs and Buns!

Why oh why can't we work together?
You buy a bag of hot dog buns and there are 8 buns in the bag.
You buy hot dogs and there are 6 hot dogs in the package!

After all these years you'd think the two would work together!
Now if you drop a bun or lose one then I suppose that's fine as you have
6 buns for the hot dogs remaining.

Don't even bring up the concept of buying two packages of hot dogs, because you then have 12 hot dogs and need 12 buns..So you buy two packages of buns and behold you now have 16 buns !!!

What can be done with the extra buns when you don't have the hot dogs for them!

If you do hamburgers it's never a challenge having 8 buns!

You have to be creative! PeanutButter & Jelly or creamcheese& jelly would go fine on a hot dog bun. All I know is just reading your post convinced me to fire up the grill, thanks.

Sheesh, what happens if you drop a hot dog...

You need to buy three packs of buns and four pack of dogs. Sounds like stimulus...

when i was a kid, hotdog buns were for the rich folks.

try toasting a couple of slices of bread with fried onions and cheese, then put the HD on top of that and tell me that don't get your mojo going. i have a toaster oven for such matters.

imagine this; fake crab in a can, onion, mayo (2 tbsp max), worcestershire (the spelling is right off the bottle) sauce mixed together on toast. with a healthy sprinkling of ceyanne pepper.

350 F oven until it bubbles, enjoy.

add cheese if you feel so inclined.

              3 words: beans and weenies.

take the left over buns, split them, apply butter, garlic, and parmessan cheese. broil till cheese is melted and bun is toasted.

we do a variation of Vince's idea. take a chunck of french brad, split it, split your dog, add the appropriate ingredients and broil til done to your taste. garnish to perfection. i know it's not a traditional dog, but be adventurous

you can also buy brats. i think they come 8 to the pack.
