  • do you have Dental coverage

well i do but it doesn't cover this

i have an infection at the bottom of 2 root canals so they need to come out and a titanium implant that fuses with the jawbone then 2 new crowns put back on or i can do a Fixed bridges

i should have listened to mom and brushed my teeth
i did this had nothing to do with that this is a bone infection

well i went to the oral surgeon and all of his work will cost $3600 thats just to pull 2 teeth and put in the 2 titanium implants .the teeth get puled first then 6 months later the titanium implants go in

then back to the dentist 3months later the new crowns can go on .

so for just over $6000 next year i will have 2 new teeth .

just when life starts to get better with $ things like this has to happen

Re: do you have Dental coverage

I do not have dental insurance and until now I have not needed it. However, I found out earlier this week I need an $1,100 root canal followed by a $900 crown.

No dental or medical insurance at my job.

That seems really high, but I don't know anything about it. Maybe dentures would be a option?

Stokefire or Tozzi could probably make him a "grill".

Dentists don't play brother. I have a friend/customer that is one & there % vs. cost is REAL good. No Friday work for alot of them either.

But they have ALOT of schooling & expense to start.

I'm just trying to be helpful, I really am.

I brush my teeth twice daily, try to. Having an infection is horrible and antibiotics, not pain killers are the best thing for relief in those situations.

I had my lower teeth pulled in hospital under a general antesthetic in 2006 and had four titanium inplants screwed to my lower jaw bone and three days later I had a titanium bridge screwed to the implants with my new lower teeth on it and they are fantastic just like my original teeth and it cost around $15000.00 half paid for through my health fund and I know you in the U.S think medicare is socialism (which its not) they also paid for it which saved me a lot of heart burn.

no health coverage a all. self employed and can not afford it.

affordable health care would be nice, but not in my lifetime do i expect to see it. insurance is the biggest culprit in this, IMHO

                        Two words: Dental Tours.

For all needing somewhat major dental work - ask not what your country can do for you, ask where else you can get reasonably priced dental help.

Consider going to Hungary, Poland and such. Great dental care and low prices. Even with plane tickets many save gobs of money. An average dental tourist from UK will save at least 50% under a worst case scenario. That includes consultation, dentists' fees, plane tickets and the cost of hotels. Oh, and you get to travel and see interesting places. If you are sentimental though then don't worry, they have MacDonalds there too.

I have been lucky with dental care. Where I lived before I came to the US and then to Canada, dental care was not only free but it was compulsory. You could not get from one semester of study to another, no matter how high your grades were, unless you were cleared by... a dentist and an MD.

Right now I got all the bells and whistles insurance. This week has been hectic at work so I think I think I'll get a massage or an acupuncture session. Somehow it tends to relax me and it's free.

Yeah, I know, socialized medicine sucks.
