  • hubbell hps lighting

    i have a 150 watt miniliter HPS light that i need help wiring. i have no idea how, so any and all info would be appreciated

    u need to open the fixture ,look inside to see if it has a multi tap ballast (120v,208v,240v,277v) or just 480v. if it is a multi tap, and you want too wire this with 120v,you use the 120v lead (wire this lead to the black wire) and the common lead(wire the white or neutral conductor to this lead). cap all the other leads off individually with a wire nut. if it is just 480v,it will not work at a residence.

      yes, thats what it looks like. and im assuming that i can get the supply cord at a general hardware store?

      also, a light like this shouldnt require an external ballast, right?

        no external ballast, the balast is inside the fixture. electric supply house,home depot should have some SO, SJO cord.
