  • The Almighty Dollar?

I was watching Glen Beck today and thought the show was very informative. He discussed how foreign oil was only purchased with American dollars throughout the world and that there was some plan for all that to change. Seems the dollar is no longer as attractive as some other currency and will not be accepted if the plan goes through. Do our politicians have a plan to stop spending beyond their ability to repay? How much longer will communist china lend us money? I still can't believe we are in debt to another country, and a communist one at that! How can anything be more important right now than keeping our country afloat and reversing these damaging behaviors?

Maybe the powers that be don't want to keep us afloat... May be a perfect opportunity for a one world gov.

The Petro Dollar is one of the last reasons all countries are not dumping it yet. Saddam did and that was his cardinal sin - switching to Euros for all Iraqi oil transactions- not some imagined nuclear weapons.

Another reason for the Dollar to be still around in some vaults world wide is the bag of crap factor. It's a simple metaphor and it works like this:

The world is standing with the bag filled with crap (The US Dollar). It content of the bag stinks and the world knows it. There are two options. Hold on to the bag and be exposed to the stench, or drop it, causing the bag to break and a million little pieces to spill all over the place and in everybody's face, producing an even greater stench. That scenario goes along the lines of a proverb from my old country - don't stir sh!t so it won't stink. And that's pretty much the gist of it.

The problem is that the crap in the bag will eventually get through the paper and it will start sipping through with an increasingly unpleasant stench. It's only a matter of time. The situation could have been easily predicted in the beginning of the 20th century when the US government decided to succumb and to give the control of the US currency to a bunch of private banks called The Federal Reserve, whose owners have no national affiliation at heart. Money is their homeland. We are all paying for that. We have been and we will be for a foreseeable future.

If the oil producing countries, along with Russia and whoever else they can get on board, decide to not accept the dollar it will be the start of the total collapse of the US economy. given the possible scenario do you think anyone just might consider drilling for and developing oil fields in the frozen north and offshore? Hell no, they will sit around and debate the issue until it is too damn late. The sharks continue the feeding frenzy on the body that is America.

Drilling would help but only in a very short run. US proven reserves are sufficient for only 8 years. Barely two presidential terms. And the oil drilled in the US will not buy back the debt anyway. Especially that most the profit will go to Standard Oil, not to the so called collective coffer.

The collective coffers were sold off when Carter was in office

Not really. Carter was 11 years old when the coffers were sold. He didn't have much influence in the matter.

do some research on fiat currencies of the past. They've all failed.

                Why?

Josh- conspiracy theory maybe, but you may not be that far off.

I`m amazed you are vary well informed that is the only reason the US and W went after Saddam as he was dumping the US dollar for euros and if others done the same the US dollar would have gone through the floor soon, but because of your debt its happening again.????
