Most of the kids go to the mall and to churches around here. Last year we broke our record with 8 trick or treaters and thought we had a shot this year but ended up with 7. Right or wrong as it may be, we soaped windows and threw eggs and toilet paper around the neighborhood as a kid on Halloween and had a blast. We knew which houses to visit that gave out the best and most candy. Todays child won't have many of the memories my buddies and I shared 40 years ago.

We in Elyria (home of Ridge Tool), trick or treating was on Thursday. Yes, you read that right. Everyone else in our county had it Saturday night. Took Cassi down 2 streets before she got tired (and they were long). I say enough for her but less than half of the houses participated.

We were unable to give out because hubby, the nurse, works at night and had to work. Cassi is too young to go out by herself.

        And, her costume? Darth Vader.
