Also, with this, we were actually looking at doing a week or so, and I was looking at doing a training program at Front Sight firearms training, just outside of Vegas. Mark, you live just in/outside of Vegas, correct? What have you heard of Front Sight - do you recommend it at all? I'd like to take their 2- or 4-day combat handgun course, as that's the only thing that's going to be a bit limited with my CF training.
I actually live in the north part of Los Angeles County but have a home in Las Vegas for when I am working there. Front sight seems like a neat place but I have never been there. I believe their training facility is outside of Pahrump which is about 80 miles from my place in Las Vegas. If you do go there you would probably still need to stay in Las Vegas.

Thanks Mark. Yeah, it's a place that I've heard the name bandied about a bit. For all of their online advertising and other schtick, they still seem to have a well-developed program.

Please let me know if you hear anything else about them, good or bad. Thanks.

Oddly enough, the first thread I saw this morning on a biker site I belong to was about Front Sight. Here is what he said.

"I know I don't post much but I heard about Frontsight in Nevada from this board. I took advantage of their offer at that the time and my wife and I just returned from our class. I have got to say it is a class act. I had a blast and learned a lot. I do not remember who made the OP but thanks. I will be returning in the future.

Tell you what - I'd agree to us doing Simunition. I've had to do a few training exercises with that stuff in the past, and let me tell you, paintball is a piece of cake compared to Simunition. Even with wearing a vest and all sorts of tactical gear/protection, I still walked away bruised like I had just been in a UFC fight.

            Fun as heck, though.

This is quickly becoming an International gathering of forum members. So far I have members from 5-States and 1-Province. With 4-months left who knows what this will grow to. If Ridgid does not have a Roadshow schedule yet, they should think about doing their Las Vegas stop March 19th.
