I had my AC9944 MS-UV for about 2 weeks working on a project (3 loft beds, actually) and it really made the compound miter slide easy to use! However, the 3rd time I tried to fold it up, the "gas spring" broke. Actually, it would not contract. So, I had to unhook it to get the thing folded up. It took a while to figure out that it unscrewed! It won't go back together. Has anyone else had this trouble? Do I have to unhook my entire rig just to get a replacement cylinder? It seems it would be cheaper for RIDGID to send me another one rather than go through the shipping and/or labor costs of putting the thing on. Please... any help or assistance (even how to call RIDGID directly would be good)
