  • The Future-What will disappear?

I was talking with someone not long ago about an album I had once. While some are still made for promotional use, we all know they are pretty much gone.

The future generations probably won't even see a CD for that matter. I'm sure you've thought of it.

But that got me thinking more....what else will disappear that we have been used to being "normal"?

I'll post just one to give others room:

    The house phone.

    What else?

    J.C.

What will replace it or what is the alternative? I guess I'm not up on it.

        Thanks.

I think it is more of an environmental thing. Adding salt to remove calcium and magnesium then dumping the concentrate into the sewer. Tucson is making it tougher to do installations. Places in California are banning the machines or the salt.

They have electronic gizmos that change the water. (not sure how well they work)

Wow J.C., this question leaves a lot to consider. Folks still collect, trade and play vinyl records and eight track tapes along with reel to reel, so it might take a while for CD's to disappear. I think given time the gasoline or fossil fuel engine will have to go. I heard that many species fo fish we eat will become unavailable due to pollution and overfishing. I think marriage as we know it will have to evolve to something more structured in a legal way and less based on pure love, passion or emotion. We will lose some of the wonder and magic and nature of life we have at the present. No stopping progress.
