i started out hot and heavy. i purposely brought a rubberized glove for my left hand that did the holding of the copper and for some reason i couldn't find it so i tried a snow glove liner i had in my bag from the south dakota trip that turned out to be to slick and i removed it during the halfway point i believe.
this gave me a good grip until i started to sweat and then my hand hold was slipping. creating a blister on my pinky and 2 other fingers. the longer it wore, the more i slipped.
funny part was i really wasn't sure if ben caught up to me as i was well ahead in the first half. easy to tell based on his cutter noise, i could hear the reverse cycle. i was defiantly lagging as my grip slipped.
so when the counts were being done and dan lost track as counting and chewing gum at the same time are not his strong points the counts were within 2. i knew i had copper flying off and i heard josh got hit in the boys i knew i had to look under the furniture. i found 1 of mine under the bed.
as of tonight my pinky is raw skin and my right twister hand is sore at the wrist.
as far as practice, i tried 1 time how many i could cut in 1 minute and that was it. not like you would practiced for a marathon race.
i doubt i will race beyond 50 as there is defiantly a fatigue and wear and tear factor.
So dramatic.....I feel great although my thumb did cramp up last night. That contest really wore me out. Still can't believe you brought gloves, gatorade, and a banana to help you out. Just consider yourself lucky you won this time.
the gloves were important and the banana never got ate during the contest. the gatorade was more for the show as 90% ended on the carpet and not my mouth
psyching out the other team is very intimidating
just thinking a good time to go fishing would be when we visit the fire house in your neighborhood. joey can catch a ride with her brother and i can meet here for dinner with fresh fish for the fire house
Thanks to Mark I had count three times. He kept making me laugh so hard while was counting I would drop a few in the buck with out looking to see how many actually went in. I buckled down and got the count with out loosing track on the last two counts.
