  • Rick gets his revenge....finally

Well the long anticipated Ridgid's #15 tubing cutter vs Milwaukee's M12 tubing cutter contest is finally over and Rick beat me fair and square. The rule was that the clock stopped whenever my battery died OR if one of us finished his cutting his copper pipe. My battery died first. Dan Lawrence and Mark(Nevada Plumber) were the official counters. I ended the contest with 105 pieces and Rick had 108.

Although Rick had 30+ years experience with a tubing cutter and I received a 5 minute demo on the machine this morning bears no difference. Rick finally paid me back for humilating him at the round up. If only he could somehow payback Steve(rookie plumber) for whooping his a$$ at the 2nd roundup then he could finally retire in peace.

I owe Rick a deep sea fishing trip for his award. Josh video taped the event held in Rick's hotel room and will soon show a video but has a full weekend on official business so possibly it'll come out in a week. I'll let the video tell the rest of the story.

Did you get a freshly charged battery after the demo?

I wonder how fresh the cutting wheel was on the tool. If it has seen lots of cuts, it will slow you down.

It looked about the same as the #15. I messed about 4-5 times trying to figure out how to use it and wasted some battery power. If we were to do this again I know Rick would lose.

Ben had a lot of fun with the competition, while Rick was really working hard on it. If Ben hadn't have been joking around as much as he was, he would have won.

The video will be very entertaining once it gets posted.

Sounds like a conflict of interest.

Maybe Ben was just looking for a new fishing buddy

I have to listen to this cr@p for the next six months cause rick was competing against an unfamilliar competitor. He has been practicing for hours over the last six months just to get bragging rights
