  • 240 does not work on new unit RD8000

    Can someone help us. We have a brand new RD 8000 and we cannot get the three phase 240 side to work. HELP

    Check your panel bud. You sure you have three phase 240 volt supply available, not three phase 208 volts?

      the RD 8000 I am fairly sure it only a single phase generator, (note: I do not have or own one of these units, I have looked at the wiring diagrams on the net and the manual)

      try the 120 volt outlets, if they both work you should be able get 240/220 out of the 220 volt plug, if only one of the 120 volt plugs work then I would check the breakers, (it appears that he Circuit breakers, are separate for the 120 and the 240, so the 120 plug could work and the 240 not work) but check the breakers, and if that does not "fix" the problem, then I would think there may be some thing defective,

      but I am reasonable sure this is only a single phase unit, with the ability to provide power in both 120 and 240 volts,
