I've done my current house with track mounted 1/2"Pex with a 1.5" gypcrete pour. A friend of mine has been told of a system developed by a P Eng by the name of Yorkie, that comprises of repeating 4 3/8" sleepers with 3/8" pex between them. He then fills over the Pex with thinset. He supposedly has a book, 1st release in 1990 that describes this method. Has anyone ever heard of him or his method? I question the heat transfer efficiency. I don't want my friend to make a bad choice!
    Thanks, D of E
