JC, I switched to a B-tank when I lost my 4th turbotorch in 6 months. after I lug that big bastard into a crawl space for One damned solder joint, I sure dont forget it.
No, it's not rocket science, it's plumbing and unlike rocket science it requires a license.

Did you ever think about using an MC tank instead of a B?

is it just a smaller acetylene tank than a B tank designed for a different torch head?

I used to run around with MC tanks, now I carry two B tanks on the truck. Reason for two is it sucks to run out of gas when you are doing up some 2" connections.

It's size that's used with the small turbo torch type oxy/acetylene kits.

will it work with the same regulator and torch I have on my B tank? if so i'll check it out. either that or a 50' hose for my existing setup >.<

                              Re: Torch?

i have both sizes and regulators to fit both valves.

problem with the mc tank is for the amount of gas that's inside, it cost about the same to fill up/ swap out a b tank at my supply house.

our supply houses can't deliver any acetylene tanks anymore. the highway patrol started to ticket them as they didn't have the proper licensing to transport the gas.
