Being Italian, I trend towards italianrestaurants every single time, and I know I have to switch things up and try something different.
I'm not big on eating steak...have to be in the mood to eat it.
We have a small Italian community. There's a fine restaurant there that serves an excellent T-bone.
My wife is Italian from Mexico. She's better at tradtional Mexican dishes than Italian dishes, but she doesn't skimp on the garlic. Took my stomach a few years to get used to all the different spices. I haven't yet aquired a taste for cilantro.
My ancestry traces back to Italy, but I can't stand Olive Garden.
Oo, a grill off challenge, I like it! I'll bring some killer chilly, location of said grill off? LOL
Sounds like something to include at the next Roundup.
"When we build let us think we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work that our descendants will thank us for, and let us think, as we lay stone upon stone, that a time is to come when these stones will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them, "See! This our fathers did for us."
John Ruskin (1819 - 1900)
There's this little Indian place down the road. I can't pronounce the name but they make the best vindaloo I have ever had. Hotter than the gates of hell but very tasty. That and the mussels in coconut curry mmmmmmmmm
