  • Will to Survive

This is an amazing story of survival. It happened in the canyons above our valley.

My son Jon is a CHP officer in that area and lives just down the road from where they say it happened. Of course it could not have happened where they say because that is all flat. I use to ride in that canyon all of the time and vehicles are few and far between. I will give Jon a call and get the real scope.

Part of the problem was no one ever reported him missing. His family lives a couple of hundred miles away and only got nervous when he had not called anyone. So after 5-days they called to report him missing and the cops gave them the information of where he had used his credit card last. They drove down from San Francisco and traced the route they figured he would have driven. They were able to find him before he was even technically a "missing person".

              im glad he is ok
now if he was able to get out of the car to get water you would think he could have started a small fire to show he was down there ?

The media has painted a far different picture. His family is straight up bragging that they were the "only ones that could find him".
I just seen it on the news like a hour ago and they made it look like the cops didn't do anything and they did it all.

They definitely did all of the work to find the guy. When they reported it they said they had not called sooner because they thought he went to Oxnard (70-miles) to visit his girlfriend. With the credit call charges and the cell tower report they got from the Sheriff Department they decided to check the canyon by his house. Either way it was good work by the family but I'm sure next time they won't wait so long to call.
