  • Obama Stops Canadian Pipeline

Just heard on the news that President Obama just put the oil pipeline
project from Canada on hold for I think they said 12 to 15 months.

It was supposed to create about 20,000 US jobs. It seems the election is
more important than people who are suffering. Canada says they may just
give China a shot at their oil if we don't want it.

I can't wait to hear him keep saying it is all the Republican's fault.
Just like spending a year forcing health care law through but now
says he is all about jobs.

You just can't make this stuff up.

I read the story the other day, and the media said he will tick off his liberal base if he goes through with the pipeline. The also said how the Liberals were threatening to hold back money to his campaign if he goes through with it. So, he's waiting until after the election to run the pipe.

The funny part is both the Supporters (Unions) and the Opponents (Environmentalist) support putting it off until after the 2012 Election. Apparently they feel Obama's reelection is more important than their cause. You know what they say about bedfellows.

I am all for the pipe line,
but not the route the company chose, going through the Nebraska sand hills is insane environmentally and most likely logistical as well, first the water aquifer is only inches deep in much of the area, and the other is only crossable by horse or by foot, in much of it, it is some very environmentally fragile ground. not a smart area to consider a pipe line if other routes are avable.
some info on the Nebraska sand hills,

LOL - I've never really cared for groups but I do believe in personal responsibility, compassion with conditions and doing what I feel is right for the right reasons.
