"The highest recorded wind speed ever measured by an anemometer was recorded at the Mount Washington Observatory on April 12, 1934. The recorded wind speed was 231 mph (372 kmh)."

Drove up by car thirty something years ago in the summer. Sounds like you are up for an adventure.
Hope the weather is strong but safe, have a great time. I envy you. Frank

Good memory's of taking the cog rail way to the top. About 1936 My parents hiked it on their honey Moon.

I bet you're one of those hairy chested guys that jumps in water when its freezing.

I can't even make a bowel movement when it gets below 20 degrees. Just give me the HEAT.

Charlie, toot your horn on the way by. I live less than three hours from that god forsaken rock and have only been to the top of it twice in my life. both times it was cold, raining and sucked.

That record has been broken Frank. It is now 253mph. Off the coast of Australia. AFM should know that

If they didn't use an anemometer, I don't trust it ! Probably just another over exaggerated statistic from the land down under.

Hawk, trust me on this you truly need some professional help. If the good Lord had intended for us to live, work in or visit cold country, we'd have been born with fur.

I was up Colbrook way last weekend, just like summer up there. Was in a tee shirt. Very bad for the tourist trade though.
