  • Is There A Lawyer In The House?

    My garden hose nozzle took a dump today and wouldn't let any water through any longer. Went to the local farm and barn store and picked up a Gilmour 8 Pattern Nozzle. On the front of the package it stated "Lifetime Replacement Policy", see back for details. Sounded like a good deal so I bought it. On the back of the package the details read like this;

    LIFETIME REPLACEMENT POLICY
    A GilmourĀ® product will provide complete satisfaction for the life
    of the product or it will be replaced free of charge. (Industrial and
    Commercial uses are excluded)

    So does that mean that when the nozzle fails to operate properly it might have reached the end of its life and there really isn't a lifetime replacement policy? I think that I probably will find out shortly because in the last 8-10 years I can't seem to find a nozzle that last much longer than a season if it lasts that long. Oh and no, I've not been buying the cheap 99Ā¢ ones either.

    My sole reason for posting this is that I've finished all my work for today and am just sitting here bored to death.

      Well Dave, be bored no more! Let me just loosen this noose and get off the chair, ah, that's better. Yes, life of the product is when it stops working, so consider anything more than a few months a good life nowadays I have used a solid brass nozzle that is opened and closed by twisting for the last fifteen years. The ones that require a squeeze grip seem to break quit often in my opinion. Well, it's back to the noos and chair for now, man I'm bored! I should be catching gators,or wrestling pythons in Florida. Watching the grass grow in Ct is a drag!

        I'm not a lawyer, but I play one on tv. Send me a $5,000.00 retainer and we'll get started. I guarantee that I'll get you a replacement nozzle, if it takes every dime you have.

          What makes a water nozzle go bad? Probably just the water itself. Life can be short.

          Maybe it's like the "Lifetime" warranty on Ridgid shop vacs.... everything works great, looks good, none of the components are corroded, cracked, broken or even showing wear, except for those damn, non-replaceable brushes! And so ends the life of an otherwise healthy product.

              I'm no attorney, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night, so maybe I can help! If it quits working, you can always use it as a snker to get down deep where the walleyes are.
