  • Google Earth - Where in the world is?

Lets give this a try for sometihng different.

Using Google Earth, can you locate this landmark?

The poster (in this case me) will acknowledge the first correct answer, that person will then post a new landmark to be found. The image should not be impossible to find. In my post as you can see there is a name given so that is a big clue especially for someone in the area or who has been there. Originators can offer a clue if no one is able to ID the landmark after a while, no set time but after a day I would say give a clue. Landmarks should be something that most people would be able to ID, not something like a zoomed in image of your house. I'm thinking items like lighthouses, prominate buildings or structures like bridges or airports or seaports. Could be something in your state that you think is interesting or important to history that the rest of us might not know about. but places like your high school are gonna be tough for us to find and ID.

so here is my pick to start this off.

Actually, I've never been there. Not too long ago I used Google Earth to check out a hotel for Joey, I spotted it then.

Okay, here is one that should not be too tough.

I'm not sure. I know they do it at some government buildings and casinos.

Because that's all there is to it. They also don't let you take pictures, but for a hundred bucks they will take your picture.

OK, here's one for you. This is near (almost on) the beach.
Two screen captures from Google earth and to help you out
there is even the name of one of the streets included.

There used to be three of these, only the one remains.
It is old (over 100 years).

No more clues, that should be more than enough.
