  • Stuck Audio CD - looking for ideas to remove it.

Wife's car has a 6 cd changer in the dash. She had 4 cds in and took three out. Went to remove the 4th right after #3 and no go. Can't play the cd and it won't eject.

Anyone dealt with this before and how did you get it out.

Wouldn't be so bad but its a book on tape that needs to be returned to the library.

Bob, did a quick search and found this "How To" among others. Good luck.

Those look like some good ideas, we'll give them a try.
      Thanks Frank.

Bob, If Frankie's ideas don't work--I had the same problem about 10 years ago. We dropped the player out of the dash and it was fairly simple to remove the stuck disc. I don't remember the exact steps we took, but I do remember that once the player was out, it was pretty obvious what to do.

That will be my next step if Frankies' idea does not work. I think I have a pair of those keys you slip in on each side to release the radio from the dash. Last time I used them was years ago though to remove the cassette player/radio from my truck and put an aftermarket one in. I have a poor chance of locating them after ten years I think.

Like my dad always told me... "They're right where you left them."
            Dad was like that.

my problem is remembering where i left them.

i have doubles of a lot of things because i could not remember where i left the first one and gave up and bought another.
some times thats cheaper than spending time looking.
