  • Home Depot XMAS displays already!

I went to two local home Depot stores and noted the following:

    1. Husky tool displays are all over the the store with special Xmas items

    2. Ryobi displays are huge

    3. Husky, DeWalt, and Milwaukee tools are second in large tool displays with respect
    to Ryobi

    4. In the power tool section the Ridgid air tools and battery power tools were quite lean
You had a static display or picture; then where inventory should be you had other brand stuff

    5. I noticed all the orange Ridgid hole saws are gone! not out of stock but totally gone
only Milwaukee hole saws are displayed...these are the individual hole saws not kits!

    6. In the "corded tools section" you again had a minimal Ridgid representation!

    7. In the plumbing tool area you DID have a good presentation and stock of Ridgid/Ridge
    tools

So...for a product "licensed to Home Depot" and the only entity offering the LSA program,
what's going on? Is there a divorce coming?

I also again!!! see more new 18V 2 and 4 Amp hour lithium ion batteries on E-bay. They
are new in unopened packages and they are $20-$45 dollars cheaper!

In the two Home Depot stores I went to, one store had 1 4ah battery and the other had none!

Ridgid products were the least available stock!
Ryobi, DeWalt, Husky, Milwaukee are plentiful!

I'm too deeply embedded with Ridgid tools to start thinking of going
    to a different brand!

Oh, and finally disposables that support any Ridgid tools are nowhere to be found in
either store! Again more times than not, E-bay has replacement blades and other consumable parts!

Disappointing for Ridgid products to say the least!

      Cactusman,

Yesterday I wrote a similar sentiment on one of the other threads, the lack of support for Ridgid products at Home Depot has become noteworthy of late. It would be nice if someone representing Ridgid could weigh in on this, though I sericously doubt that any official notice would ever be forthcoming as it wouldn't serve the product line well, UNLESS the products were going to a wider market place.

It seems that every year "Christmas" promotion gets a bit earlier. By the time the actual date rolls around I'm more than sick of it all. Two weeks ago, my wife and I stopped into Sears and they had their Christmas trees and ornaments on display! Really telling, as that display was right next to the garden shop where they were still promoting patio furniture, grills, etc.

Most all of the retailers around here (NY Southern Tier) are starting to promote their Christmas stock. Went to Home Goods, and a few other home decorator stores and more than half of the floor space was taken up with Christmas stuff. On Friday we had to go to the largest Walmart in the area, and it was absolutely nuts trying to get through the store, as every lane aisle was crammed full of carts and trollies of Christmas season stock. It was almost like they were rennovating the store while it was still open and in operation. Personally, I was quite uncomfortable with the situation. Not only because the season is starting much too early, but in Walmart especially, the situation posed a serious fire trap. Should anything occur, there was no way you could evacuate the store without someone being hurt, as most all the aisles were blocked in multple places.

Guys, I was told they monitor the Forum. I suggest you copy and paste your posts to their facebook page. Can't understand why they would miss another holiday shopping season opportunity to push thier products? I would add that home depot associates told me decisions on what to carry and display are done at the corporate level. Darn shame.

I think costco gets the earliest start on different seasons. Seems like they will be ready to display summer goods in a month.

It's too easy to gripe about commercialism this time of year. I've decided to take a year off from being irritated by it.

Something has to pay for the LSA/warranty
