  • Ever hear of this place?

If its real what happened to it?

Maybe it's why the polar ice cap is melting.
"When we build let us think we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work that our descendants will thank us for, and let us think, as we lay stone upon stone, that a time is to come when these stones will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them, "See! This our fathers did for us."
    John Ruskin (1819 - 1900)

That was pretty amazing. It looks like the abandoned it after about 7-years from start of construction but it was only planned to last 10-years. Sure seems like a lot of work for a 10-year program.

I too watched it and was amazed at the work they put into it.

Now why is a soviet ship stuck in ice this last week when 55 years ago, we built an underground nuke city in the ice?

And why haven`t you built an ice breaker that can rescue the Soviet ship with Australians on board as the Chinese have given up and the Australian ice breaker has to

Maybe that's what Google is building on San Francisco Bay.

Maybe bill can design an ice ranger and hook it up to his turbo jetter. That will cut a path. Remember the vieeo of the guy who took his root ranger fishing? Imangine the same concept made for ice.

Reminds me of another craft I remember seeing on San Francisco Bay in the 70's.
