I have seen a few with a windmill head on them to make them more acceptable.

Around here most water towers do double duty as antenna platforms.
We have a few of the fake tree towers too in areas close to developments
where residents want the coverage but don't like the look of a bare tower.

Reminds me of California, they like to use electricity but they don't want any
power plants, nuclear or otherwise, in their state.
"When we build let us think we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work that our descendants will thank us for, and let us think, as we lay stone upon stone, that a time is to come when these stones will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them, "See! This our fathers did for us."
        John Ruskin (1819 - 1900)

there is one in my area that looks like a tall palm tree.
There is also one at a church that looks like a tall bell tower
