  • Wet/Dry 0935 problem

I have a Ridgid wet/dry vac 0935. I have had it for a couple months, and today was my first time using it to pick up liquid ... specifically, water off my garage floor. The vac sucked the water up, but sprayed a good part of it out of the exhaust. It continued to do this after several minutes. I took off the filter (as recommended in the owners manual) and tried the same thing without it ... same result.
    What is the problem?
    Thanks.

Not familure with is VAC, and looking on Ridgids site and seeing they have upgraded to the 0945, I would have to guess it's some kind of problem with the float that goes inside the cage the filter fits around.
Good question to "Ask the Experts"

      James,

My first guess would be that the vac was about full and the float was not install correctly or missing all together. Inside the filter cage there should be a cylinder with a opening that is facing down. Make sure it is in place and installed correctly.
