and for anyone who cares here's the front of Ridge Tool's Headquarters in Elyria OH. http://terraserver.microsoft.com/ima...22901&Z=17&W=0

This is from 1994... I am sure satelite technology has advanced drastically since then. Later, Josh

I like Goggle Earth more, better detail and they have a thing called street level. Street Level allows you to look around, just like you were standing on that street.

Especially since it was 9 years ago!!

            Is Terraserver even still around?

I think Google and others have replaced it long ago.

To see better details of your properties contact your local municipality. They are likely to direct you to a website where you can see things in much greater detail, sometimes on sub 1cm level. I used one of those to get a detailed plan of my property without having to touch a tape measure.

In addition, aerial shots may contain a lot of useful information, such as property lines. These might help you discover that this shed your neighbor built last year is 3 inches into your backyard, or that this shrub you are planning to cut out next spring is really located on road allowance and belongs to the municipality..

At http://maps.google.com/maps you can zoom down to your street, then click the little orange man at the top of the zoom control. It brings you down to street level and you can see from a first person perspective. Not every street has this feature. Most of the streets here can be seen like this.

I know, it doesn't make sense.
