  • These are the chisels

I am on a quest to find more of these chisels. The blades are incredible, nice and thin, found this one in a garage sale box. If anyone finds any of these anywhere please keep me in mind.

    thanks

also, can anyone date it? give me an idea of when they were mfgr'd this way?

    thanks again

    SpaceBlue,

Fuller's is still in business (I believe they are Canadian). In the U.S., they are now marketed through Johnson Level. Here are a couple of links which I'm sure you will find useful:

    http://www.johnsonlevel.com/news_detail.asp?art=14

    http://www.fullertool.com/pages/eng/cutting.php

    http://www.fullertool.com/images/pdf...og_Cutting.pdf

I didn't download the catalog PDF, but a chisel similar to the picture you posted is on the front cover and also in the images displayed on the Fuller site "cutting" page.

    Hope this helps,

    CWS

Thanks for the links. I have hit them all. The newer chisels do not have the thin blades that this one has. Apparrently they are different than WL fuller & co

This is an awesome chisel. The thin blade is incredible for trim work Ithink my only luck is to come across them at flea markets/garage sales

          Ed,

I see "W.L. Fuller" is still around too, but I don't see where they made chisels. Their web site is at www.wlfuller.com Their primarily a manufacturer of drill bits, etc.

Sorry that my lead wasn't helpful, I thought I had maybe pinpointed it for you. Good luck on your search.

Looked at the Ebay listing. I have enough knock around chisels. did not see one in the pic that looked like mine. I saw one with a similar blade but it did not have the black top.

I have fuller and chisels as favorites and get the auctions emailed to me when new ones are posted.

              thanks guys.

Someday i will find more of htese
