OSC, Dear friend. I really do hope you feel better now. Give me a call some time on my cell and we can discuss your problems.

That is surprising since Florida doesn't have the mountains that Utah does. But at the same time those mountains make nice places for relay stations and observatories. I have T Mobile and have no problems save a few exceptions.
      1. driving in some canyons or mountain passes.
      2. i a basement sometimes.
      3. in the x-ray rooms of the unfinished Murray Hospital, I'll say the lead had something to do with that.

Nextel is quite possibly the worst cell phone company I have experienced never seem to have a signal now granted i go in someplaces that are far out in va. However my verizon never has a problem like my nextel does everyday. I am sure saying that about Verizon will bring many posts in the future but it has never let me down like my Nextel.

Of all the cell phones I have owned in the past 10 years (approx 90!) I have used all the US cell providers except for Verizon and Nextel. Overall I would say I have had the best luck with AT&T, but still get spotty service in certain areas. Since most companies now are going to GSRM it has gotten worse unless in a well populated area. I am currently with T-Mobile as they had the best plan for what I use it for and it is the first time I have actually had to pay for my own cell phone and I don't care for it unless I am standing somewhere in a downtown metropolis type area. When I move up to MT I will get to try Verizon as that is the only cell provider in the area I will be in. But I will agree that I have not heard many great things about Nextel as well unless in a well populated area. But have heart, with the way things are these days it will only get better. Only downfall is more and more ugly towers to look at, unless the idea of hiding the towers gets more popular.

There is a tower of for some purpose in Provo Utah that looks like a tree, but you figure it out when you notice how it is still green in the winter and the top is flat, like someone cut the top off cleanly.

Here in Southern California we have some that look like pine trees and others that look like palm trees.

I have been using cell phones since 1989 and the best by far has been Verizon. I've used it while flyfishing in Canada and vacationing in Florida. The only area where I have some minor problems are Southern Nevada.

Verizon is the worst! Here in long island there towers are placed down the middle of the island...so if you live on the southshore or northshore your signal gives out. I complained but the answer I got was "Maybe its the electricity in your house".
