      Re: Toilet Flange Question...

You know, one trick no one mentioned was the drill bit. I have changed many flanges out and have used a drill bit to drill out the lead, workes excellent, I can pull any flange in about 10-15 mins.

If you drill out the lead, you don't have to beat it so much with the cold chisel, and risk breaking the closet bend.

Glad it all worked out, try the drill bit next time, you will be very happy.

Hint: the lead is between the flange and the closet bend, it may be a bit hard to see because of years of rust, but once you drill it, you will know

Westcoast likes to drill the lead to loosen it up so the ring can come up in one piece.Maybe this way will be easier for you too.

Are you suggesting Adam's name is now "no one"?

robert, even i remember that conversation

as you get older, your memory starts to go

also when you get married it too goes, but only selective memory

i select what i want to forget
