  • Water pressure

I just bought a house and am not really impressed with the water pressure in my shower. Is there anything that I can do to raise the pressure?

    Thanks in advance,
    Grant

Unscrew the showerhead and find the water restricter and remove it.

It's a round washer smaller than a dime with small holes in it

Could you raise the water pressure at the pressure regulator in front of the house.Where the main supply enters the house

Is this the only low fixture in the house, everything else has good water pressure?

Take the shower head off and see if it is dirty inside.

What model of shower faucet you have? You could have a water leak somewhere in the water line. If you live in an older house or apartment, it could be from a build up in the older style plumbing. Also, it could be that there is a valve on top of your water heater leading into your residence isn't open all the way (if there is one there).
